Financial Training

Most men at Harbor of Hope have no training in managing finances.

With the assistance of Wells Fargo and Bank of America, residents gain the skills necessary to run a household. Weekly financial classes are required while living at Harbor of Hope. Creating and managing a budget, checking and savings accounts and the importance of credit reports are stressed in these classes.

One of the biggest issues facing Harbor of Hope’s residents is the proliferation of payday loan centers. With the new information from these classes, our residents will become fiscally sound without the use of payday loan centers.
