The Harbor of Hope Mission is to provide a safe haven of respect and love for recovering men to transform and reconstruct their lives.

Location
Harbor of Hope is located in the historic River Bend neighborhood in Des Moines, Iowa. Our home was built in 1880 and is located at 1617 Oakland.
Board of Directors
The Harbor of Hope currently has nine directors on its board. They are appointed to two-year, unpaid terms. The Executive Director is compensated.

Funding
Funding of the Harbor of Hope comes directly from state and federal grants and private contributions. Harbor of Hope is a 501c3 non-profit.
History
• 1880-Harbor of Hope building is constructed in River Bend neighborhood.
• 1984-Harbor of Hope Mission is established as a homeless shelter.
• 2005-Harbor of Hope transitions into an addiction recovery center for drug addicts.
